To whom it may concern, Our family suffered the loss of a dear family member in September, 2023.

We live in the Detroit area and there is no one local to her home who could help. Her home needed to be sold as quickly as possible. In November of 2023, Donald Betts stepped in to assist in this difficult situation and he jumped in with enthusiasm and determination from the start. He visited the home regularly, managed the emptying, cleaning and preparation for sale which was very challenging. He is still, after the sale, helping us with mail that continues to arrive at the house. Don is not only a very hard worker, always working in a competent, professional manner but has also been extremely kind and helpful with every obstacle we faced (and there were many). His communication was impeccable. We heard from him often, sometimes several times a day. He always responded to our concerns promptly. The house was sold in early December. "January 31, 2014This is commend Realtor Donald L. Betts for his work listing, marketing, and selling a residential property for my company, Sharp HealthCare, in late 2013. Given my company’s non-profit status and corporate requirements, it was important that we follow a fair, competitive, and clearly documented process to evaluate and complete a sale to an independent third party.Mr. Betts understood these requirements. He consistently looked out for the interests of the client and handled the transaction in an open and ethical way. Market information, recommendations and progress reports were well documented and clearly presented throughout.Mr. Betts prepared a detailed and professional analysis in setting the list price. He considered both the “as is” and “as repaired” values to make sure the home was priced properly, providing credible and thoughtful advice about the property and the type of purchaser it would likely attract.He proposed a marketing strategy intended to generate a high level of interest and offers, and indeed that is what happened. "We just purchased a house in San Diego in October of 2013, after beginning our search in June of 2012. We were very fortunate to be assisted in the process by Don Betts, and wholeheartedly recommend him to any buyer in the San Diego area.

Although we were both entirely new to the San Diego and did not have any background information on the neighborhood options, we have very particular tastes and were determined to find the rare opportunity of a lovely house in an upscale neighborhood, yet at a reasonable price. Don was very helpful and patient with us during the nearly 18 months this process unfolded (due to our extreme pickiness), and with his help, we succeeded in achieving our goal. Don was very pro-active in finding new opportunities for us, very professional in dealing with sellers and their agents, quick in responding to our emails and phone calls and he listened clearly to our feedback on properties we visited. Don never pressured us to make offers on properties we didn't like, and even spotted issues and defects in properties we hadn't noticed. Through his website we were able to screen hundreds of properties and eventually visited several dozen with him until we found the perfect one for our family.

We have had the immense pleasure of working with Mr. Donald Betts in buying our first home. As a realtor, Mr. Betts not only had a tremendous grasp of the market, but was both very personable and professional. Mr. Betts worked incredibly well with the lender to coordinate with our situation. In our particular case as a home buyer, there were many bumps in the road because of our financial limitations; and with the current market being what it is. This did not deter Mr. Betts from going above and beyond to help us during the process. The homes we were searching for were close to the 92123 area code, which was 45 minutes from where Mr. Betts’s office and home were; every time we were interested in a home he made the commute, even though the asking price was higher than our budget. Reference: My Real Estate Agent – Don Betts

I recently purchased a condo in the San Diego area. I searched for several years for a possible investment in a desirable area to live and could sell without any problem should I choose to. I originally wanted a property in the La Jolla area close to the beach. My agent took me to several properties but I did not find what I wanted at the price I wanted to invest. Don did not limit our search. He took me to neighboring cities and continued our search. It took us approximately 2 months to find a property that was right for me. I finally settled for a condo in the Carmel Valley/ Del Mar Heights area which is a little over a mile from the beach, is in a complex excellent amenities, is close to shopping, and has easy freeway access. With the help of a very patient and diligent agent, I was able to find what I wanted. It took a while to find the right place and because it was a short sale it took approximately 5 months to close. But I finally got what I wanted and it appraised for $20,000 more than what I paid.

Because I lived out of town, it was difficult to have immediate access to properties but with the help of Don, who communicated with me regularly through phone and emails, I was able to find what I wanted. I am glad that he did not limit areas to search and gave suggestions and alternatives. He did not pressure me to make immediate decisions and worked tirelessly and patiently through our search. We looked at properties on weekends and even late in the evenings. It took me a while to finally choose him to represent me with this search. I find other Realtors to be impatient and eager to close immediately on properties that I might not be sure I really wanted. I did not feel intimidated or pressured to make immediate decisions with Mr. Betts. I am truly thankful through his help and patience that I was able to find the right property. I will not hesitate to come to him again should I have the opportunity to buy (or sell) another property and will have no reservations in recommending his services to other homebuyers.

Roughly A YEAR AND A HALF later, after a lot a narrowing down of neighborhoods and price, we were able to find the house I was looking for. I found Don Betts to be honest, forthright, professional, ethical, and brought valuable local knowledge that helped my decision making process. As a future investor in income property Don's background in commercial development will bring a lot to the table and help steer me in the right direction. After the house was purchased Don followed up with me on a few loose ends outstanding on the property, so I felt I had someone with me throughout the entire experience. Even after the close of escrow!
